Active Schools Week
'Wake Up Shake Up', June 19th
Thanks to Mr. Roebuck for organising Active Schools Week and to all the teachers who demonstrated the 'Wake Up Shake Up' moves, set up the marathon courses, participated in all the activities and motivated their classes all week. We even had a flash mob during break on Friday with 4th classes dancing to 'Shake it off' and 'Uptown Funk'. Great to have parents joining in the fun with us on the last day!

3rd and 4th Girls' Football Blitz, June 4th, 2015
A blitz was organised by Round Tower GAA club for 3rd and 4th class girls from local schools. Over 180 girls attended, 22 of them from Clonburris. Our two teams played three matches each and won 5 matches out of 6! The girls really enjoyed playing on such a sunny day in Monastery Road. Some of our past pupils were there to set up the pitches and to referee. GPO James Glancy and Ladies' Chairperson Marie Crotty congratulated all the girls and encouraged new players to join Round Tower GAA club. Thanks to all our parents who helped Ms. Morley and Ms. Farrell with transport and supported the girls during the event.

Cross Country Finals, May 14th, 2015
We had a great day at the Cross Country Finals which were organised by South Dublin County Council. Over 2,500 pupils from South Dublin attended the races! Our 41 boys and girls from 3rd-6th made us very proud. They all put a huge effort into their races, supported and encouraged one another and even helped to tidy up afterwards! We're very grateful for the transport and help provided by our parents.
The following parents brought pupils in cars, supported the runners and supervised throughout the day:
Gina Kinsella's mother, Ciarán and Cormac Gavin's mother, Kyle Bowen's mother, Brian O'Meara's mother, Alex Garland's mother, Jack Brennan's father, Aoife Kelly's mother, Sadhbh Breen's mother and Caoimhe Moores' mother. Other parents came to watch the races and cheer our pupils on.
