Pupils from Junior Infants - 6th class received medals and trophies for their achievements on Sports Day. Thanks to Mr. Murray for organising the presentation and to the 6th class who helped distribute the trophies and medals.
Active Schools Week, 12th-16th June

A great week of activity and fun! Each morning started with 'Wake up Shake Up' - thanks to the teachers who danced on stage each day. Classes ran and played games during the week. Thursday was a fun for all day and 6th class helped set out all the activities for the classes. Thanks to all the teachers and staff who joined in and made it a week to remember.

Santry Athletics
40 pupils from 3rd-6th class competed in the track events on Tuesday 30th May in Morton Stadium, Santry. This was our first year to enter the Cumann na mBunscol Athletics events. It was a great experience for Clonburris pupils. Pupils ran in the 100m sprint and 4 x 100m relay. Jack Kelly in Mr. Murray's 6th class took home a second GOLD medal for the U12 100m sprint! Thanks to Mr. Murray for organising the event and to Ms. Lanigan, Ms. Morley and Mrs. Curran for helping with supervision.
5th and 6th class pupils participated in the 600m finals which took place at Morton Stadium, Santry. They competed in the U11, U12 and U14 races. Great runs from Clonburris boys and girls! Congratulations to Jack Kelly who won a gold medal in the U12 section!

Cross Country Finals, Thursday 11th May
A great day in Corkagh Park! 50 pupils from 3rd-6th took part in the finals organised by South Dublin County Council. Clonburris boys and girls performed really well and we're all very proud of them! Thanks to Ms. Morley, Ms. Kinlough and Mr. O'Malley for working with the pupils this year. Thanks also to the parents who helped with supervision on the day.

10@10 - February 10th, 2017
The whole school took part in 10@10, an initiative introduced via Operation Transformation. Classes moved with the video shown in class and then we all exercised together in the senior yard! Thanks to Mr. Roebuck and to the teachers who were on stage showing the actions!

46 pupils from 3rd-6th ran in the first Cross Country race of 2017. Great results!

Jim Gavin & the Sam Maguire return again!

Jim Gavin returned to his alma mater once more and the whole school celebrated with him! Thanks to Mr. Roebuck and all those who helped organise the event. Jim visited each class and spoke to all the boys and girls about following their dreams. Jim's mother and father attended the event, along with representatives from Round Tower GAA club. Thanks to Pamela Owens and Tommy Keogh (Round Tower) for the photos.

Health and Wellbeing Week, Tallaght Stadium, 12th September
Some of our 5th class girls took part in a range of activities in Tallaght Stadium. They had great fun! Thanks to Paula Carty and all at South Dublin County Council who organised the event, transport and snacks on the day.
